This AP wire report notes that Secretary of State Clinton has returned to the national stage with a major foreign policy speech after a long absence recovering from her fractured elbow. I thought the report was interesting because it notes her absence from Obama’s recent trip to Russia, Europe and Africa and speculates about her relationship to the President and her influence in the administration. Depending on your view of this, the speech either represents her effort to reassert her role in the foreign policy community or merely a return to business as usual after her convalescence. The State Department has archived her speech here and has provided the following video showcasing the speech, delivered yesterday to the the Council on Foreign Relations:
- Administrative Assistant
- PROGRAM COORDINATOR
- Policy Analyst, Economic Trade Issues
- Program Officer for the Ministerial Leadership Initiative for Global Health
- Project/Program Management Implementation
- Natural Security Fellow
- Administrative Associate
- Organizations Program Officer (Intern)
- Survey Methodologist/Project Manager
- Senior Program Officer
- Research Assistant
